If you're in need of a free daikon radish on Sunday, March 5, the Miura International Marathon is a way to get one for "free". The name is a little misleading as there is only a single category - the half marathon.
The course isn't flat - you're running to Jogashima after all. While some bits are an out and back, the majority of the course is a big loop around the southern tip of the peninsula. miura-marathon.com/course/ If you're like us and live in the Miura Peninsula, this is basically in our backyard. Start and finish is near the Keikyu Miura Kaigan station - so about 25 minutes from Yokosuka Chuo, 35 minutes from Jimmuji, and 45 minutes from Zushi Hayama station and Yokohama station. Registration opens on November 1 - more details at https://miura-marathon.com
